Other Hydrogen-related Sites

Here are some of my favorite sites on hydrogen:
Ballard Fuel Cells
Imagine a future where power is generated cleanly and efficiently. Where buses and automobiles give us the performance we want but emit no pollution to foul the air. Where environmentally damaging central power plants and high voltage transmission lines are a memory of the past. This is the future, powered by Ballard Fuel Cells. A future which is closer than you imagine.
Fuel Cell Today
Fuel Cell Today is a new internet portal for fuel cells with free news, reviews, industry directories, educational resouces and much more.
HyWeb
HyWeb-Gazette - Hot News from all areas of hydrogen.
Hydrogen Fuel: News
Consolidated News: Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Energy Cells.
Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Investor
Providing news and information on trends, technologies, infrastructure, materials, companies, patents, Hydrogen, fuel cells, and investing in an emerging technology - well organized links to the best information available on the internet. Recently named a "Best of the Web" site by Forbes.com
Avista Labs
Bringing you low cost fuel cell alternatives. Environmentally clean power sources based on PEM Polymer Electrolyte Membrane technology. From full powerplants to educational kits, to membranes and components, we cover it all. (Affiliated with SIRTI.)
NHA (National Hydrogen Association)
The NHA's mission is to foster the development of hydrogen technologies and their utilization in industrial, commercial, and transportation applications and electricity production, and to promote the transition role of hydrogen in the energy field. The NHA serves as a catalyst for information exchange and cooperative projects for the varied interests of the hydrogen industry. "Hydrogen has often been called the perfect fuel. Its major reserve on earth (water) is inexhaustible. The use of hydrogen is compatible with nature, rather than intrusive. We will never run out of hydrogen."
Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Letter
The latest news from the newsletter devoted solely to hydrogen and fuel cells.
SIRTI (Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute)
A coalition of several Washington universities and local businesses. The Energy Technologies Center is working on alternative energy systems and membrane reforming reactors. Laboratory operations are directed by Avista Laboratory personnel. The center consists of a manager and staff, project research and development personnel, student interns, and an advisory group.
Optima Battery Store
New web store dedicated to Optima sealed lead-acid batteries suitable for electric vehicles. Free shipping and 36 month free replacement warranty (72 month Pro-rate warranty).
Schatz Energy Research Center
The mission of the Schatz Energy Research Center (SERC) is to promote the use of clean and renewable energy in our society. Toward this end, SERC is developing fuel cells for stationary and mobile power systems. SERC has two facilities at the Humboldt State University: a fuel cell lab and a solar hydrogen lab. They have a small car and retrofitted golf carts which are running on hydrogen powered fuel cells.
Warsitz Enterprises
Warsitz Enterprises Inc. is making fuel cells and fuel cell systems that run on hydrogen. Doing what others only talk about, they have been shipping a fuel cell experimenter's kit for the last 6 years as an educational tool and have recently introduced their 'RoamPower' 25 watt personal power unit that also runs on hydrogen. The RoamPower can power laptops, cell phones, flash lights, etc., or even recharge a low car battery. What's more, it's available for sale!

The following sites are great for those who are new to the concepts of hydrogen fuel cells:
Electro-Chem-Technic
This is THE site for those who want to learn about fuel cells! Electro-Chem-Technic manufactures and sells low cost, small, fuel cells, mainly for schools, colleges and universities. Click here to see something really DULL and BORING!
Fuel Cells 2000
In principle, a fuel cell operates like a battery. It supplies electricity by combining hydrogen and oxygen electrochemically without combustion. Unlike a battery, a fuel cell does not run down or require recharging. It will produce energy in the form of electricity and heat as long as fuel is supplied. The only "waste" product is pure, drinkable water . . .

The objective of these sites is to make known the basic principles of fuel cell technology and to promote the research, development, and use of hydrogen-powered fuel cells.
